🥬 What We Love About This Recipe
- If you were a fan of the classic Chick-Fil-A coleslaw, you’ve probably been mourning its retirement since the day it left the menu. We totally get it. Thankfully, this recipe is a perfect recreation of that staple side dish.
- The flavors are fresh and tangy and a little sweet.
- The ingredients list is SO simple. 6 ingredients total, and that includes the salt.
- No time spent in the drive thru, and the homemade coleslaw is way more cost-effective, too.
👩🏼🍳 Chef’s Tips
- It takes a little time, but don’t skip the chill. When your Chick-fil-A coleslaw’s in the fridge, all the ingredients are melding together and really deepening. Trust me. You’ll have a much more flavorful bowl of slaw after 2 hours than you will right after it’s made.
- Don’t be put off by the sugar in the recipe. I promise you won’t feel like you’re eating a dessert! It’s just enough to play off the tanginess of the mayo and the vinegar, and it’s so delicious!
- Any kind of slaw mix will work just fine here, but if you really want a Chick-fil-A coleslaw copycat, get a mix that’s just green cabbage and carrots. The original CFA slaw didn’t have any purple cabbage or broccoli slaw or nuts or tortilla strips. Just green cabbage and carrots.
