Delicious, 4-ingredient chili cheese dip, perfect for your next party or potluck! Loaded with flavor, but super easy to make in just 15 minutes.
What Makes This Recipe So Good
- It’s seriously so easy! Four ingredients come together in under 15 minutes to make this perfect game-day or party dip. Start by mixing everything together in a bowl, then baking until golden brown and bubbly.
- It’s a total crowd-pleaser! This is the perfect easy dip recipe to bring to your next potluck or party. Everyone, including kids, will gobble it up!
- One bowl and a baking dish is all you’ll need for this chili cheese dip! This is truly the best recipe to throw together when guests are over, or you’re craving something delicious in a flash.
Key Ingredients
Chili – Any chili will work in this recipe! This chili cheese dip is even a great way to use up any leftover chili you might have lying around. Homemade chili clearly tastes the best, but canned chili tastes amazing too!
Cream Cheese – Plenty of tangy cream cheese melts beautifully into this dip. Be sure to use plain cream cheese, as any other flavors could throw off the balance of this recipe. Though feel free to use whatever plain cream cheese you’d like, whether that’s regular, whipped, or low-fat.
Cheddar Cheese – Two cups of shredded cheddar cheese gives this dip an incredible, sharp bite! While cheddar cheese is my personal favorite for this recipe, you can use your favorite shredded cheese instead. A shredded Mexican blend cheese or even shredded pepperjack would taste delicious!
Salsa – Salsa yields the most flavor for this dip. However, you can replace the salsa with 1/4 cup of either fire roasted diced tomatoes, or diced tomatoes with green chilies.
Chef’s Tips
- Feel free to add an extra half pound of cooked ground beef to bulk this chili cheese dip up! A bit of extra protein will make these an even heartier, more filling snack, appetizer, or side dish.
- Prep this dip ahead of time, then bake right before guests arrive! To do this, mix all ingredients together in a bowl, then transfer to a baking dish and top with cheese. Cover your dish in plastic wrap, then store in the fridge for up to 3 days, or until you’re ready to bake.
- For a spicier dip, add in a few shakes of chili powder or a couple dashes of hot sauce! Frank’s Red Hot or Tobasco sauce make a great finishing touch to this incredibly flavorful recipe.
