A frosty frozen lemonade is the ultimate summer treat, and we’ve made this version with a special sweet ingredient! Tart, slushy, and oh-so-refreshing, you can feel good about filling your glass with this delicious drink all summer long.

🍋 What We Love About This Recipe

  1. Frozen lemonade takes homemade lemonade to a whole other level. Because the ice and liquid are blended together, every sip is perfectly chilled.
  2. There are only 4 ingredients to this frozen lemonade recipe. You can add frozen cherries, frozen strawberries, or frozen raspberries to change the flavor if you want. You could even make it a frozen limeade by adding fresh lime juice!
  3. We replaced the typical cane sugar with honey for a sweeter taste and a boost of amino acids and antioxidants.

👩🏼‍🍳 Chef’s Tips

  • Blend the liquids without the ice first! If you add the ice before mixing the rest of the ingredients, the honey will harden and won’t combine well.
  • Not able to use honey? You can replace it with simple syrup, liquid stevia, or a honey-flavored liquid sweetener! Add a little during the first step, taste, and repeat until you get it your desired sweetness.
  • For boozy frozen lemonade, add ½ to 1 shot of plain or flavored vodka or tequila to the first step.

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Silicone spatula
  • 2 serving glasses
  • 2 straws

Instructions

  • Add ½ cup fresh lemon juice, ¼ cup honey, and ¼ cup water to blender. Secure lid on blender and blend liquids on medium speed until fully combined.
  • Once combined, remove lid. Add 2 cups ice then replace lid on blend. Blend ingredients together on high speed until ice is broken down and lemonade reaches desired consistency.
  • Divide frozen lemonade evenly between serving glasses. Garnish glasses with lemon coins if desired and serve immediately with straws.

Notes

  • If you blend all the ingredients at once, the liquids won’t incorporate fully. Be sure to blend the liquids on their own first before adding the ice.
  • To turn this into a cocktail, add 1 to 1 ½ ounces of tequila or vodka to the first step.
  • Make it Vegan: Use liquid stevia or simple syrup to taste instead of honey.
  • Make it Keto: Use liquid stevia or a liquid honey-flavored keto sweetener instead of honey.
