Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 350° Fahrenheit.
Place salmon fillets on cutting board or plate. Brush or drizzle avocado oil over all sides of each fillet, then season salmon on all sides with salt and pepper to taste.
When air fryer is preheated, place seasoned salmon fillets in air fryer basket skin-side down and insert basket in air fryer.
Cook salmon 3 minutes, then check doneness. Continue cooking salmon, checking every 1 minute, until desired doneness is achieved and salmon fillets flake easily with fork. Double check doneness with internal meat thermometer. See Notes below for approximate cook times and internal temperatures.
When salmon is cooked as desired, immediately remove salmon from air fryer and transfer to serving plates. Let salmon rest 3 to 5 minutes, then garnish as desired and serve.
Recipe Notes
We kept the seasonings very simple here, but feel free to season the salmon any way you like!
Cook times will vary from one air fryer to another. The size and thickness of your salmon fillets will also make a difference.
Salmon Fillets: If using frozen salmon, defrost it overnight before cooking.
Leftovers: Refrigerate leftover salmon in an airtight container up to 3 days. To freeze leftover salmon, let it cool completely, then wrap the salmon fillet in foil and place it in a freezer-safe sealable bag. Remove as much air as possible, then freeze fillet up to 3 months.
