Instructions
Place saucepan on stovetop over medium heat. Add 1 cup water, ¼ cup gluten-free soy sauce, 6 packed tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon honey, ½ teaspoon ground ginger, and ¼ teaspoon garlic powder. Whisk to incorporate ingredients, then heat mixture 1 minute or until warm.
While mixture warms in saucepan, add 2 tablespoons cornstarch and ¼ cup cold water to small bowl. Stir ingredients together until cornstarch has dissolved and combined with water to create slurry.
Add cornstarch slurry to saucepan and whisk all ingredients together until fully incorporated. Cook mixture 5 to 7 minutes, whisking often, until sauce has thickened slightly.
When satisfied with consistency of sauce, transfer sauce to serving bowl or jar. Serve as desired, or let sauce cool completely and refrigerate in airtight container until ready to serve.
