Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, mix together the hot pork sausage cream cheese. If you don't have a stand mixer, you can also do this with a hand mixer, or just by hand.
Add in the Bisquick baking mix and stir until combined.
Then add in the cheddar cheese. Feel free to be generous with your cheese. Add a little more if you like things super cheesy! Stir until combined.
For the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet. I find this easiest with a spring loaded cookie scoop. If they don't come out round enough, you can just roll them around in your hand a bit. Damp hands will stop the sausage sticking!
Then pop the baking sheets in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to chill. This will help keep them from spreading out while baking.
Once they are chilled, bake for about 25 minutes. Then serve!
Recipe Notes
For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free Bisquick mix, and make sure your sausage is also gluten-free!
If you'd like a little extra flavor in your cheese balls, add a couple cloves of minced garlic to your dough, or some fresh or dried herbs.
The parchment paper will stop the balls sticking to the baking sheet. But in a pinch, you could use oiled foil.
Each serving size is about 3-4 cream cheese sausage balls. This mix will make about 30!
