The quickest, easiest, most delicious way to cook red potatoes – and all you need is an air fryer! Ready to eat in less than 30 minutes, seasoned beautifully, and cooked until the outsides are nice and crispy. You’ll never want to cook red potatoes any other way!

A bowl of air fryer red potatoes with 2 lemon slices.

What We Love About This Recipe

  1. Air fryer red potatoes are quick, they’re easy, and they’re SO delicious! They’re seasoned simply, with a little oil and a couple of spices, and they’re versatile enough to go with any entrée.
  2. The air fryer does a great job mimicking the texture of fried red potatoes, with their crispy outsides and creamy insides, but you don’t need anywhere near as much oil!
  3. There’s no need to peel or parboil red potatoes before cooking them in the air fryer. Prep is so easy – just slice them in half and toss them in spices!

Cheryl’s Tips

  • Make sure all the potato halves are roughly the same size and thickness. That way they’re all ready at the same time!
  • If your air fryer is on the small side or you’re cooking a lot of potatoes, work in batches. Overcrowding the air fryer will keep the red potatoes from cooking thoroughly.
  • You must shake the air fryer basket halfway through the cook time. If you don’t, the potatoes won’t cook evenly.
