What We Love About This Recipe
- These sliders are SO easy to make, and they are soooo tasty. Melty cheese. Warm, toasty, sweet Hawaiian rolls. Savory deli chicken and crumbled bacon. Creamy ranch dressing. And to finish it off? A garlicky butter sauce that takes these mini sandwiches to a whole ‘nother level!
- You only need a handful of ingredients to make chicken bacon ranch sliders! If you want to make your own ranch dressing you absolutely can, but store-bought works just fine.
- This recipe makes 12 sliders – perfect for a quick family dinner or an easy party snack. I love to serve them anytime we have friends over to watch a football game or whenever my son has a playdate, too.
Chef’s Tips
- For these chicken bacon ranch sliders, you want to use thinly sliced deli chicken. Any brand and any flavor are fine, though I recommend a classic oven-roasted chicken. Ask them to use the number 2 setting on the deli slicer – that should give you deli meat that’s less than ⅛-inch thick, but not as paper thin as shaved deli meat.
- While you’re at the deli counter picking up your sliced chicken, go ahead and grab some fresh sliced colby jack and a small block of fresh parmesan. The fresh cheeses taste SO much better than the prepackaged stuff, and they melt so much better, too.
- Not a fan of deli chicken? Shredded chicken will 100% work! You can pick up a rotisserie chicken and shred it at home, or you can cook chicken specifically for your sliders. Check out my recipe for the best shredded chicken (it also includes my 5 favorite methods for easily shredding chicken!).
- Skip the chicken altogether if you want and make these sliders with turkey or ham instead! You can change up any of the other ingredients, too. They’re super versatile and really hard to mess up!

- ⅓ cup ranch dressing store-bought or make your own
- 6 slices colby jack cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan
For the Butter Sauce
- ½ cup unsalted butter 1 full stick, cut into pieces
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt more or less to taste
Equipment
- Oven
- large baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Cutting board
- large serrated knife
- Small saucepan
- whisk
- Basting brush or pastry brush
- Aluminum foil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit. Line large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set baking sheet aside.
- Remove 12 sweet Hawaiian rolls from package without separating rolls. Place full sheet of Hawaiian rolls on cutting board.
- Starting on one side of sheet of Hawaiian rolls, use serrated knife to cut rolls in half horizontally. Place bottom half of Hawaiian rolls on parchment-lined baking sheet. Set top half of rolls aside.
- Place small saucepan on stovetop over medium heat. Add ½ cup unsalted butter and let butter melt completely.
- Add 1 teaspoon dried parsley, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, and ¼ teaspoon salt to saucepan. Whisk ingredients together until incorporated.
- Once incorporated, brush approximately one third of butter sauce onto cut side of Hawaiian roll bottoms.
- Break or cut 6 slices colby jack cheese into strips as needed, then lay strips of cheese on top of Hawaiian roll bottoms. Cover rolls evenly.
- Layer 1 pound thinly sliced deli chicken evenly over layer of cheese slices.
- Spread ½ cup cooked, crumbled bacon evenly over chicken layer.
- Drizzle ⅓ cup ranch dressing evenly over chicken and bacon.
- Place remaining 6 slices colby jack cheese over ranch dressing, breaking or cutting cheese into strips as needed to cover all sliders.
- Brush approximately half of remaining butter sauce onto cut side of Hawaiian roll tops, then place tops on cheese layer, cut-side down.
- Brush remaining butter sauce over tops and sides of Hawaiian rolls, then sprinkle 2 tablespoons grated parmesan evenly over tops of Hawaiian rolls.
- Cover baking sheet loosely with aluminum foil, then place baking sheet in preheated oven. Bake sliders 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, carefully remove baking sheet from oven. Remove aluminum foil and discard.
- Return baking sheet to oven. Bake sliders, uncovered, approximately 10 minutes or until tops of rolls are lightly golden.
- Once rolls are lightly golden, remove baking sheet from oven. Cut sheet of sliders into 12 individual sliders.
- Serve sliders immediately with additional ranch dressing if desired.
Notes
- Deli Chicken: I like to get my chicken sliced on the number 2 or 3 settings so it’s thin but not too thin.
