What We Love About This Recipe
- This method is almost too simple, but it leads to delicious results! If you’re typically “not a cauliflower fan”, I beg you, give this roasted cauliflower steak recipe a try. It may very well change your mind!
- The 5-spice blend of sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and chili powder adds SO MUCH incredible flavor! You’re welcome to mix up the spices however you’d like, too. We love a versatile dish!
Chef’s Tips
- We really love the smoky, spicy flavor of smoked paprika, but you can use regular paprika if you’d like.
- You can either save your extra pieces of cauliflower for a later recipe, make additional steaks if they are big enough, or roast them with your steaks and save them for a snack.
- We love these steaks with a side of ranch or even chimichurri.

I made this recipe and it was a big hit at our block party. Instead of cutting the cauliflower into large steaks, I broke the head into florets and then sliced them. They were cauliflower steak medallions.
That’s PERFECT! And I love that we could please the whole neighborhood – how awesome. Thank you so much for sharing, Karen!

I don’t comment often on recipes I try unless I think they are outstanding and this one is one of the BEST! It is so easy, beautiful and delicious and one I will be making often. I made it exactly as directed and I do think smoked paprika is a key part of it’s goodness.

Either or! I’d eat it as a side with meat like steak or meatloaf, or you could make it your entree and serve with with some salad.
